Custom TNT Shunya
The TNT Shunya is a remarkable custom motorcycle built by TNT Motorcycles, a Delhi-based garage known for its creative and radical designs. Shunya stands out as their very first creation—a true statement piece in the Indian custom bike scene. The highest point on the build being 31 inches, we believe “Shunya” is the world’s lowest Royal Enfield chop.
Origins and Inspiration
Shunya (Sanskrit for “zero”) is more than just a name; it represents the fresh start of TNT Motorcycles’ journey into custom builds.
Design Details
Lowest Bobber Title: The Shunya claims to be the “world’s lowest Royal Enfield bobber.” Its saddle sits just 25in above the ground, with the highest point at only 31in.
Long and Sleek: Shunya is about 8ft (2.4m) in length, giving it an imposing and unique road presence.
Clean Build: Details matter—foot and hand controls are machined from solid aluminum, then knurled for grip and finish.
Signature Tank: The custom orange fuel tank holds about 7L, designed as TNT’s trademark shape for Shunya.
Tyres: Avon 5.00-16 bobber tyres front and rear, with a rolling diameter of 26in, add to its hot-rod profile.
Paint and Finish: The team handled almost all aspects themselves, save for specialty paintwork.
Riding Experience
Engine: Retains the Royal Enfield 350cc single-cylinder powerplant, but with upgrades like a freer-flowing exhaust and K&N air filter for better breathing and sound.
Handling: Feels best on straight roads—rides like a classic chopper, with great visual impact and a need to watch out for the limited ground clearance. On curves, the long wheelbase and rake make handling slow and careful—definitely built more for style than for speed or agility.
Ergonomics: The extremely low saddle means riders sit “between the wheels,” for a distinctive riding posture, with a clear view of the front tyre rolling ahead.
Practicality: With its radical silhouette and hardtail rear, Shunya is better suited for short show rides and display than daily commuting. You’ll need to take care over speed bumps and rough patches due to its limited ground clearance and rigid frame.
Build Quality and Craft
Handmade: The bike reportedly took more than 1,000 hours to complete, showing TNT’s commitment to detail and quality.
Machining and Fabrication: Everything from chassis design and testing to parts fabrication is done in-house for tight quality control.
Cost: Building a custom chopper like Shunya (not including the donor Royal Enfield) costs around ₹4–6 lakh, reflecting the handcrafted nature of this creation.
